A bold, upright annual or short-lived perennial with tiered whorls of orange tubular flowers arranged like candelabras up tall square stems. Grows quickly to 2m+. Common in Rwandan roadsides and gardens — deeply local in character. Native to tropical Africa. Commonly seen growing wild across Rwanda. Thrives in Kigali sun with minimal care.
