Tropical Foliage

Spiral Ginger

Costus spectabilis

Origin: Central & West Africa

Leaves arranged in a perfect spiral around upright canes — a naturally geometric plant that seems almost designed. Produces showy yellow or red flowers from waxy cone-like heads. Lush, structural, and deeply tropical. Native to Central and West Africa. Grows beautifully in Rwanda's warm, humid climate. Good for shaded outdoor spots.
